Raise your hand if you’ve ever been in the audience of someone with something compelling to say. (Put your hand down if you’re thinking of your last Springsteen concert.) Ok, yes, Bruce is compelling – but we’re talking your coach, your colleague, your professor, your parent – who says something so enlightening that you literally hear a rusty lever in your over-loaded noggin flip from off to on.
The moment it clicks, you sit a little straighter, inch closer to the edge of your seat, and nod in knowing appreciation for the power of the spoken word and people who are brave enough to lend it voice.
When we launched JerseyMomsBlog in 2010 we had a clear and decisive mission to align with something meaningful. Our motto Inspiration at Every Exit both grounds us and drives us toward topics and interactions that support a bigger picture.
This will be our 3rd year as a spectator to the TedxNavesink talks, and each year I look forward to that message in my inbox with date, topic and cast. On Saturday, April 11, 2015 TedxNavesink will feature the topic of Accelerators, in the befitting context of Monmouth University – a place of study, growth and promise.
Accelerators will offer two dozen live talks and entertainment showcasing people and ideas that are speeding up innovation and forging our tomorrow. How will technology impact our lives? Will there be “smart contact lenses” that enable us to see and get information at the same time? What’s the future of education? Will nanotechnology enable us to live longer, healthier lives? How will we play in the coming decades?
So won’t you join us at TedxNavesink, and witness another extraordinary dialogue around ideas worth sharing? You’ll find this particular bit of inspiration just off the Garden State Parkway, Exit 105.
