What’s not to love about living in the great Garden State during the Fall. Whether you live in the city or suburbs, with the abudance of farms, beaches and rivers, a short car or train ride can take you to magical destinations if you let it. For this week’s Facebook Question Friday, we asked our readers what they LOVE about New Jersey in the Fall. Here’s the fantastic response.. and a warning: After reading, you’ll probably crave an apple pie!
- Nikki Maida-Ippolito: ”Going apple and pumpkin picking at Eastmont Orchards, then heading to Delicious Orchards for warm apple cider and apple cider donuts!”
- Heather Roberge Gordon: Exactly what Nikki said!
- Melissa Serrano: Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford for hayrides, pumpkin & apple picking, fresh pies and apple cider donuts. Going for walks in the cool weather. Sitting around the fire pit during the evening.
- Laurie Applegate Weber: Ditto Nikki to all of it
also love going to the the playgrounds that are too hot to enjoy in middle of summer
- Theta Pavis: Picking up leaves with my daughter and bringing them home. Visiting the Catskills or the Tenafly Nature Center. Picking apples and being harassed by my family to make apple pie. Cool, invigorating weather that is nice but does not yet require dressing up in 50 layers.
- Linda Klonsky: Crisp autumn air & open windows.
- Laurie Applegate Weber: I thought of another thing: walking the boardwalk without a thousand other people. I take my 2 & 3 yr old and we just walk and walk then enjoy the beach too
- Amy Melnick: Empty beaches n playing in the sand without gallons of sunscreen on my babies
- Jennifer Clark Johns: Open windows, apple picking, uncrowded beaches where the water is still warm on your toes!
- Doreen Rosa Guilfoyle: Walking thru our gorgeous parks, kayaking in our beautiful rivers and streams… enjoying the changing colors of our leaves.
